Six Wedding Tips in Creating an Unforgettable Guest Arrival

A Note from Epic Event Strategists Wedding Planners

Planning a dreamy wedding is the most important days of your life--but serenading your guest is a memorable experience that put the cherry on top.  After the wedding day you will think about what made your day so special.  Was it your dress?  Was it the look on the grooms face when he first set eyes on you?  Was it the love you put into planning?  I think for your guests, it will be the overall ambiance of the entire day.  Let’s talk about a few unforgettable tips to incorporate while planning for an exuberant beautiful unforgettable wedding.

  1. First impression is everything!
  2. Walk into a wonderfully scented room
  3. Most amazing greeting staff
  4. People may not remember faces but they will always remember how they felt.
  5. The ambiance of the day
  6. Be an exceptionally great host with a great catering staff

Tip #1

The first impression is everything!  First impressions are something that cannot be undone or unseen.  Making sure that every detail from beginning to end makes a statement starting from planning the engagement and save-the-dates to the wedding day.  Must think about how you want the wedding day and the reception to be the WOW factor for your guests.  You want to excite the guests with them wanting to come in.

Tip #2

The view from a guest perspective when walking into a beautifully decorated and pleasant scented room should be breathtaking!   When you decide on the room’s purpose the decorations and accents are the most important to focus on.  Being unique with ideas, themes, food and drinks, is just the beginning of the planning process.  Make the ceremony area look like an exquisite piece of art and create a beautiful tablescape with fine linen and china with a breathtaking centerpiece for the reception area.

Tip #3

Have the most amazing greeting staff!  Facial expression says more than your words.  While standing at the entrance at the venue, the greeter should always engage with the person before them and greet the guest with a smile and guide them in the right direction.  They should be confident about who they are and what they are doing.  Meeting the guests positively, says you are happy, focused and interested in assisting them.  It could be for the cocktail party, the actual location of the ceremony or the reception.

Tip #4

People may not remember faces but they will always remember how they felt.  Your goal within the first few minutes of greeting the guests are to make them comfortable.  With an attention grabbing scenery at the entrance of the room by accompanying it with a wonderful scent is a great way to set the tone at any event.  There are some amazing companies that will be happy to create your company special scent for a moderate fee, that will make a statement.

Tip #5

The ambiance of the day!  Places, lights and action everybody!  Make sure the day begin by capturing your guest attention with a memorable experience to talk about for days afterward.  You may have guests that are traveling from afar and expecting something extravagant.  You don’t want to disappoint anyone.  Beautify the grand entrance with a unique design, champagne wall, and soft music serenading them as they arrive.  Then have a jaw dropping entrance leading into the ceremony.

Tip #6

Be an exceptionally great host with a great catering staff.  You know you want to be “hands-on” with every detail of your event, but do you have the time to do all the necessary tasks that is required to have an EPIC wedding or event.  Are you able to properly synchronize all your ideas.   All brides, in most cases are behind the scenes, therefore you will not hear or see how your guests are being treated.  In most instances, it is very important to hire a Professional Wedding Planner or Event Coordinator.  Your vendors should also be pleasant and professional.  Working with experienced vendors will keep you from having a “disastrous” event.

Paying attention to the little details make a fun, engaging and unforgettable event.  It will create the ultimate luxurious experience for everyone.  You want to make sure your event is worth a thousand words and picturesque to make it through social media.
