Now Engaged, Ready, Set, Flow!!!

A Note from Epic Event Strategists Wedding Planners

You’re engaged and now it is time to start the process of planning for the big day.  After understanding the below five tips you are ready to go!!!

Needing calm nerves are at the top of the list when preparing the next steps for your dream wedding.  Epic Event Strategists team get excited when the bride, groom and parents of the blessed couple reach out to us with an idea and come to us for guidance on how to plan their dream wedding.  So having a doable bullet points outline to guide every step is the beginning.  But first there are five things you should keep in mind for  a smooth process.

  1. Remember that you don’t need to have all the answers at the beginning! Many questions will pop up along the planning process. Epic Event Strategists team will conceptualize your wedding look with you.
  2. Let the wedding pros talk for you! When dealing with the scouting for vendors our professional team will negotiate for the best products or services for the best price to stay within your budget.
  3. Keep intimidation from sneaking into your mindset! The to-do list can be overwhelming when you don’t have a clue as where to begin. Epic Event Strategists are your stress relieving experts ready to work for you. We are available to create a smooth flow from beginning to end.
  4. We are there every step of the way! We provide you with a month to month timeline. This will keep you on track all the way to the wedding day.
  5. Fast-tracking! The timeline is a guide, however, it does not have to be maintain in any particular order.

The trick to pulling it all together is being organized, staying grounded, and maintaining your overall vision.  The secret to a gorgeous wedding is a definitive style and color scheme.  And carrying it through all the wedding day details may at first seem overwhelming, just complete one element at a time.  Big picture decisions has to be made at the very beginning of the processes.  Deciding the date, which season to celebrate in (summer, spring, fall or winter), and the location.  Will it be at a home, at a restaurant, in a ballroom, in a garden, or will it be a destination wedding?  How formal will the wedding be?  Will it be a sit-down dinner, a relaxed brunch or fireworks evening sendoff?  What is the color scheme?  Will it be your favorite colors, colors of the season, bright colors, warm colors, or cool colors.  Lots of decisions to be made, YES!

Once you decide whether you want a fall wedding because of the foliage or you love spring because of the gardens, you can then decide on the month.  The next steps listed in your outline should be:  What is your style? Will it be traditional, modern, intimate, glamorous, theme, cultural, beach or destination.  What size budget you are working with?  Who will contribute to the celebration?  Your budget will dictate many of your wedding decisions.  Think about your priorities!

Together decide the three most important elements of the wedding day for each of person involved financially.  People tend to spend more money on the things that interest them the most.  Talking about how involved the groom will be will avoid the I’m doing everything argument later.  Talking things out in the beginning will make all expectations clear.  Know who has the final say!  It’s tricky when multiple parties are helping to cover the wedding costs, but ultimately decisions should be yours.  This will avoid hurt feelings later if discussed in the beginning of the planning process.

Ok the BIG question:  Do you want a wedding planner/event coordinator?  Planning, organizing, and carrying out a unique and gorgeous wedding takes exceptional skill.  You will want to find the right person for the job.

Hiring our wedding planning expert team will assist you in transforming the perplexing processes with a simple task list.  We make it easy for you to select your venue, color scheme if needed, assist with menu selections to help curve the cost, photographer, videographer, DJ, rentals and florists, makeup artist, etc.  Having a sense of accomplishment as you check items off the list will provide you with your dream wedding.
